TelePacific Communications, a leading provider of business telecommunications network solutions headquartered in California, announced that it has completed the acquisition of Mpower Communications Corp. for approximately $204 million.The new TelePacific Communications has 800,000 access lines serving 75,000 business, residential and wholesale accounts in California, Las Vegas, Nevada and Chicago, Illinois.
The acquisition provides TelePacific access to a deeper and denser network to deliver more products and better service to current and future customers in all markets. The Company now possesses metro fiber rings throughout its California and Las Vegas markets, a long-haul fiber route connecting all major markets across California and 331 collocations. The Company will leverage its assets to serve an even greater number of customers with local and long distance voice, dedicated Internet access, private networking and data transport services, as well as bundled voice and Internet solutions.
The transaction establishes TelePacific as the leading Competitive Local Exchange Carrier in the Western United States, with over $400 million in annual revenue on a run-rate basis.
